2.4 GHz · Drone Remote ID
Know what’s flying near you.
Most modern drones broadcast Remote ID — their position, altitude and the operator’s location — over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth at 2.4 GHz. That’s above the SDR’s 1.7 GHz ceiling, so LittleSpec listens with its onboard Wi-Fi chip instead, and plots nearby drones just like aircraft.
1090 MHz · ADS-B aircraft
Every aircraft overhead. Straight off the air.
Aircraft constantly broadcast their position, identity, altitude and speed over ADS-B. LittleSpec’s dedicated internal 1090 MHz antenna receives those broadcasts directly — a live picture of the sky above you, no internet connection required.
433 MHz · Licence-free devices
Your neighbourhood, chattering away.
Key fobs, doorbells, weather stations, tyre sensors — the licence-free bands are the busiest airspace in any home. LittleSpec catches their short coded bursts, identifies the device, and explains what it just said.
162 MHz · Marine AIS & VHF
Nearby vessels, plotted live.
Near a coast, river or port? Ships continuously report their name, position and speed over AIS — the maritime cousin of ADS-B. LittleSpec plots the vessels around you as they report in.

Hams have been talking across town — and across continents — for a century. LittleSpec tunes the amateur bands from HF up to 70 cm: listen in on local repeaters, nets and calling channels, and watch band activity rise and fall through the day.
